About Adlington Carnival
Our committee is made up entirely of volunteers, we have organised the annual carnival in Adlington for over 50 years, alongside other events throughout the year, such as the Santa Sleigh at Christmas.
We work closely with local groups, businesses, schools to promote our carnival weekend and our other events.
Our sponsorships offer support to local businesses, by offering featured advertisements in our programme, therefore promoting their business and us within the community.
Our proceeds from our yearly events are donated to charity. Alongside donating to local charities within our community, our nominated charity will be The National Deaf Childrens Society.
Our three day event
Our main event is spread across three days in July (Fri, Sat & Sun). Across the weekend we have a funfair and various stands – Food, charities, and local businesses.
Friday evening consists of our annual bingo, where great prizes can be won.
On Saturday, our celebrated carnival procession takes place through the streets of Adlington. Followed by live music on the Jubilee field, featuring tribute and local bands. Previous years have seen bands such as Little Chix, Izzy Ingham, Ste Smith, and Scratch.
On Sunday, we have our annual dog show and football competition, alongside more live entertainment.
Overall, an immense weekend of family fun.
"When the big man visits the village"
At Christmas, we thrive to bring happiness and festive cheer to the children of our community, via our annual Santa sleigh.
Santa travels through the streets of Adlington, handing out lollipops, collecting children's wish lists and featuring in selfies.
Donations are collected and given to our chosen charity.
Follow us on our Facebook page for daily and live updates.
Join in on the fun, we have started running some additional events such as Easter egg hunts and competitions to spread holiday cheer.
